Blasts Reported in Tehran, Karaj as Conflict Intensifies
(MENAFN) Explosions were reported in Iran early Monday as tensions in the region continued to rise amid ongoing attacks by the United States and Israel, according to reports.
Reports indicated that blasts were heard in the capital, Tehran, as well as in the nearby city of Karaj.
The incidents come as hostilities have intensified since Israel and the United States launched coordinated strikes on Iran on Feb. 28. According to reports, the escalation has so far resulted in around 1,300 deaths, including the country’s then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Reports say Iran has responded with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq and several Gulf countries that host US military installations.
