Awqaf Ministry Calls For Sighting Of Shawwal Crescent

Doha, Qatar: The Crescent Moon Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has called upon all Muslims living in the State of Qatar to observe the sighting of the Shawwal crescent on Wednesday evening, March 18, 2026.
The committee said that whoever witnesses the crescent should head to the committee's headquarters at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in Al Dafna (Towers) area to report their testimony.
The committee will meet immediately after the Maghrib prayer on the same day.
