Our Vision Caribbean and Latino Film Festival Returns May 23, 2026 in Hollywood

Los Angeles, CA The 2026 edition of the Our Vision Caribbean and Latino Film Festival will bring vibrant storytelling, powerful voices, and diverse cinematic perspectives to Hollywood on May 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the iconic Barnsdall Art Park's Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Los Angeles.

Created by independent filmmaker Charles Alleyne, the festival was born from a simple but powerful realization: there was a need for a dedicated platform to showcase and celebrate films from the Caribbean and Latino diaspora. Alleyne, whose own work as a filmmaker exposed him to the challenges many underrepresented storytellers face, founded the festival to give these voices a place to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

The Our Vision Caribbean and Latino Film Festival highlights films that explore the rich cultures, histories, and contemporary experiences of Caribbean and Latino communities. The festival features a dynamic lineup of short films, independent features, documentaries, and experimental works, presenting stories that range from deeply personal narratives to bold explorations of identity, migration, heritage, and social change.

This festival is about visibility and opportunity,” says Alleyne.“There are so many incredible filmmakers from the Caribbean and Latino diaspora whose stories deserve to be on the big screen. Our Vision is about creating a space where audiences can experience these powerful voices and where filmmakers can connect with new audiences and industry professionals.

Throughout the day, audiences will experience a curated selection of films from emerging and established filmmakers, creating a cinematic journey that reflects the diversity and creativity of Caribbean and Latino storytelling. The event will also offer opportunities for networking, cultural exchange, and community engagement, bringing together filmmakers, artists, and film lovers from across Los Angeles and beyond.

Set in the heart of Hollywood at the historic Barnsdall Gallery Theatre, the festival promises an energetic and inspiring atmosphere celebrating global creativity and cultural pride.
