Missile, Rocket Barrage Hits Upper Galilee

(MENAFN) A projectile strike in the Upper Galilee region early Saturday caused damage to multiple cars and a residential building in what Israeli media described as a "combined attack from Iran via Lebanon."

Air-raid sirens echoed across several towns in northern Israel as Iranian ballistic missiles together with Hezbollah rockets activated warning systems, according to local media coverage.

Earlier, the Israeli military announced that it had detected missiles fired from Iran heading toward Israeli territory, which led to the activation of the alert system.

A news outlet stated that sirens were heard throughout the Upper Galilee area, including the cities of Safed and Rosh Pina, following rocket launches originating from Lebanon.

Powerful blasts were reported in Safed, although emergency responders indicated that no injuries had been recorded.

Further warning signals were also triggered in various northern Israeli communities as well as in the Sharon region, indicating a coordinated wave of projectiles from both Iran and Lebanon, Israeli reports said.
