Jonathan Oladeji

Dr. Oladeji Jonathan D, PhD, is a Research Fellow at the University of Johannesburg and a licensed IFC EDGE Expert. He holds a PhD in Real Estate from the University of Pretoria, where his research focused on incremental housing finance, affordability, and sustainable housing systems in Africa. His work, published in international journals such as the International Journal of Housing Markets and Analysis and the Journal of African Real Estate Research, bridges scholarship, industry practice, and policy design.

Dr. Oladeji has presented research findings at leading conferences including the African Real Estate Society (AfRES) 2021, 2024 and 2025, CITC 2025, ITISE 2023 (Spain), and WorldS4 2023 (UK), and was recognized as Best Presenter at the Asset Management Business Solutions International Conference (2021). His research has earned multiple distinctions, including the James R Webb ARES Foundation International Scholar Grant 2025, IREBS Foundation International Conference Travel Grant 2025, Emerald Literati Outstanding Paper Award (2024) and the American Real Estate Society Book Prize (2021).

A driven and passionate resource person contributing to learning through training, teaching assistance, continuous professional development, and mentorship. He facilitates industry and community initiatives that equip future professionals with both academic and market skills. Assists with teaching, supervision, and curriculum development in real estate programs. Alongside his academic work, he brings over a decade of consulting experience, where he has led numerous projects in market research, digital strategy, and real estate communications. He combines thought leadership, teaching, and applied research to advocate for affordable housing as a cornerstone of Africa's economic development.
