Greenpeace Protests Military Actions in Madrid

(MENAFN) International environmental organization Greenpeace unveiled a massive banner reading "No to War" in the heart of Madrid, Spain, on Tuesday.

Activists from Greenpeace organized the demonstration to express opposition to the US and Israeli assaults on Iran.

In an official declaration, the group emphasized that wars are "never the solution" and urged for peace while denouncing the "serious military escalation" occurring in the Middle East.

The organization further highlighted that since the onset of attacks on Iran, bombings and missile strikes have resulted in thousands of civilian casualties, injuries, and forced relocations, damaging schools, hospitals, homes, and other essential infrastructure.

Greenpeace stressed that the "No to War" message resonates more strongly now than ever before.

Spanish authorities removed the banner approximately four hours after it was displayed.
