Khamenei's Underground Bunker Reportedly Destroyed By Israel
Israel's military claims 50 of its fighter jets attacked what it described as an“underground bunker” in Tehran that had been built for the late supreme leader, AzerNEWS reports.
In a statement, it claimed the compound“extended beneath entire streets in central Tehran” and included meeting rooms, adding that senior government officials continued using the facility after Khamenei's killing.
Khamenei's death was confirmed by the Iranian government on 1 March. His death occurred as part of a wider joint operation by the United States and Israel, using strategic locations intelligence from the US's Central Intelligence Agency to determine the whereabouts of several leaders.
