Several UAE authorities clarified that while sharing content may seem harmless, in conflict times it can inadvertently compromise public safety. Photos and videos from incident sites contain more than visible images - they also hold sensitive information that can threaten national security.

According to Fujairah Police, metadata and visual cues can reveal:

Exact geographic locations – streets, buildings, and landmarks can pinpoint position.

Entry and exit points – airports, ports, and roads may be mapped by adversaries.

Movements of individuals and vehicles – public movements or even private commutes could be tracked.

Operational details – infrastructure, security presence, and supply chain activity may be unintentionally disclosed.

If intercepted by hostile parties, this information can be exploited to carry out attacks or sabotage, putting communities and individuals at risk.

Do not go near debris

As the country's air defence system intercepts missiles and drones fired from Iran, authorities have urged residents not to approach, touch, or photograph any debris or objects.

While some fragments may appear harmless, they can pose serious safety risks. Citizens are advised to leave all such materials to the authorities for proper assessment and handling, ensuring both personal safety and public security.

Stay in safe location

Authorities also clarified that warning alerts are issued for public safety and must be taken seriously. Residents are advised not to leave their homes, stop vehicles, or record videos when an alert sounds. Instead, they should proceed immediately to a safe location and remain there until an“all clear” is announced.

Drivers are instructed to continue to their destination and then seek the nearest shelter. Failure to comply with these safety instructions may result in legal accountability, and authorities stress that cooperation is essential to protecting lives.
