Profile Articles Activity

Full Professor in the Département d'anthropologie at Université Laval. My main topic of research is social imaginaries, from the perspectives of political anthropology, political philosophy, and Peace and Conflict studies. For three decades now, my fieldwork and writing have explored the intersection between imagination and politics in the context of political mobilizations, utopian thought, and concurrent definitions of social justice and peace. My fieldwork is grounded in Mexico, Guatemala and Canada, with current projects exploring more broadly the theoretical and methodological ramifications of the practice of worldbuilding and future imagining.
