Drones Attack Fuel Tank at Oman’s Duqm Port

(MENAFN) Oman reported Tuesday that drones targeted the Duqm Commercial Port on its eastern coast, damaging a fuel storage tank, according to state media.

The Oman News Agency (ONA), citing a security source, said several drones struck fuel storage tanks at the port, with one hitting a tank directly. Authorities contained the damage, and no casualties were reported.

Oman condemned the attack and stated it is taking all necessary measures to respond, without naming the responsible party.

The incident comes amid escalating regional tensions following a large-scale US-Israeli attack on Iran launched Saturday, which reportedly killed several senior Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran has carried out drone and missile strikes against Israel and Gulf states hosting US military assets.
