Kuwait Health Ministry Reports Injuries Amid Escalating Regional Tensions
(MENAFN) Kuwait’s Health Ministry said Monday that 19 people were admitted to Al-Jahra Hospital and Al-Adan Hospital amid rising regional tensions following a US-Israeli strike on Iran.
Ministry spokesman Abdullah Al-Sanad noted that the injuries ranged in severity but that most patients were in stable condition.
“The ministry resumed outpatient clinic services across health facilities and continued dispensing medications at hospitals and medical centers according to scheduled appointments,” he added.
Sanad urged individuals with non-urgent medical issues to use primary health care centers, easing pressure on hospitals and allowing emergency departments to focus on critical cases.
“The ministry continues to implement operational and precautionary plans to ensure uninterrupted services and safeguard public health,” he said.
The developments follow a large-scale US and Israeli military operation on Saturday targeting Iran, which reportedly killed several senior Iranian figures, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Tehran has since responded with missile and drone strikes aimed at Israel and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
