US-Israel Target Hospital in Tehran, Causing Significant Damage

(MENAFN) Reports indicate that US and Israeli airstrikes targeted Gandhi Hospital in northern Tehran on Sunday, causing significant damage. Footage shown on state television displayed broken windows and damage to sections of the hospital’s exterior.

Following the attack, security around the hospital was heightened, and medical teams conducted inspections of the building. Videos showed nurses evacuating newborns and transferring them to safer locations.

Earlier, the Iranian Red Crescent Society released images suggesting that its headquarters, along with several hospitals, had been impacted by the strikes.

The attacks follow a broader US-Israeli operation on Saturday that reportedly killed several senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, US assets, and multiple Gulf countries.

Israel and the US previously conducted a similar strike in June 2025, which escalated into a 12-day conflict before a ceasefire was reached.
