Kuwaiti Forces Shoot Down Hostile Targets, Ensure Airspace Security

(MENAFN) Kuwait’s air defense systems intercept several hostile aerial objects early Monday, underscoring what officials describe as strong preparedness and operational capability in securing the country’s airspace, according to statements cited by reports.

In an official statement, a Defense Ministry spokesperson explains that the incoming targets are identified and dealt with within the central operational zone of Kuwait, reflecting the armed forces’ heightened readiness to protect national skies.

“No casualties were recorded,” the spokesperson stresses, affirming that military units remain on alert.

A separate official communication confirms that a drone is also brought down within Kuwaiti airspace. It states that “the hostile air attacks were intercepted near the Salwa and Rumaithiya areas without any casualties.”

The statement further notes, “The armed forces continue to carry out their duties and address any potential developments, ensuring the security and stability of the country,” emphasizing continued vigilance.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that air raid sirens echo across various parts of Kuwait as authorities activate alert measures while responding to the aerial threat.
