Algeria Announces Full Support For Attacked Arab Countries
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))
ALGIERS, March 1 (KUNA) -- Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf expressed on Sunday his country's full solidarity with the brotherly Arab countries that have been subjected to military attacks.
This came in a statement by the Algerian Foreign Ministry during the minister's reception of the ambassadors of the Arab countries that were attacked in the wake of the serious developments taking place in the Arabian Gulf region.
The statement stressed its rejection of any infringement on the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of these brotherly countries, as well as the security of their peoples.
It reiterated Algeria's position calling for an immediate halt to all forms of escalation and prioritizing dialogue and restraint in order to spare the region further tension and prevent the conflict from spreading and having serious repercussions on regional and international security.
On Saturday, Algeria expressed its deep concern regarding the dangerous escalation in the Middle East and called on all parties to exercise restraint and act responsibly to avoid exposing the Gulf region to further insecurity and instability. (end)
