Ministry Of Interior Warns Against Sharing Personal Or Financial Information
Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior has issued a warning regarding suspicious messages impersonating officials or well-known commercial entities and requesting for personal or financial information.
The Ministry announced this on Sunday across its social media platforms.

It urged the public to verify the authenticity of such messages by directly contacting the concerned entities through the official phone numbers listed on its website.
Although the Ministry has not cited a particular incident, the warning comes amid circulation of forwarded messages about fraudulent phone calls from individuals claiming to represent government authorities and requesting QID copies and other personal information. The fraudsters, taking advantage of the current security developments in the region, reportedly stated that the information was required as part of an evacuation process.
