15,000 Women To Receive Digital Skills Training Under D4WEE Initiative

PESHAWAR: The UN Women has launched a major initiative titled Digitalization for Women's Economic Empowerment (D4WEE) to train 15,000 young women in market-driven digital skills across selected districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The program aims to bridge the digital gender gap and support women's entry into freelancing, employment, and entrepreneurship by equipping them with in-demand skills including artificial intelligence, data science, coding, graphic design, animation, and Microsoft Office applications.

Districts Covered

The initiative will initially focus on the following districts:

Punjab:

. Lahore

. Faisalabad

. Multan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:

. Peshawar

. Mardan

. Swabi

Who Can Apply?

Women aged 18 to 35 years are eligible under three categories:

. 18–20 years (Intermediate pass)

. 21–25 years (University students, preferably IT-related fields)

. 26–35 years (Graduates or women re-entering the workforce)

Selected participants will receive structured training, mentorship, and career guidance. High-performing candidates may also qualify for international exposure opportunities, including exchange visits to South Korea.
