Ashghal Launches Ramadan Tournament With 186 Participants

Doha, Qatar: The 13th edition of the Ashghal Ramadan Tournament kicked off on Sunday, with the participation of approximately 186 players competing in seven games, in a sporting atmosphere that reflects the spirit of camaraderie and cooperation among the Authority's employees during the holy month.

The Social Annex at the Assets Affairs Building of the Public Works Authority“Ashghal,” located on Wholesale Market Street, hosts the“Ashghal Ramadan Individual Games Tournament 2026,” with 132 employees competing in five games: padel, table tennis, foosball, billiards, and PlayStation.

On another front, Ashghal is also participating in the Ramadan Sports Festival 2026, organised by Aspire Zone Foundation, with two football teams and six basketball (3x3) teams competing in the team sports category.

Ashghal noted that the Ashghal Ramadan Tournament 2026 represents the 13th edition of this important annual event, which contributes to strengthening professional and human ties among employees, given its positive impact in fostering team spirit and enhancing institutional belonging-particularly as the strong turnout reflects employees' eagerness to engage in sports and social activities.

Ashghal looks forward to delivering a distinguished edition this year in terms of the level of competition and quality of organisation, and to achieving the tournament's sporting and social objectives during the holy month, in a manner that reflects Ashghal's spirit and institutional values.
