Milad Haghani

A/Prof Milad Haghani is a Principal Fellow at the University of Melbourne, and the Geospatial Transport Planning Lead at the Centre for Spatial Data Infrastructures and Land Administration (CSDILA). He is a former Australian Research Council DECRA Fellow (2021-2024).
Through his research, he generates the science on mitigating the risk of preventable death and injury in urban settings. He is an interdisciplinary researcher with expertise in public safety, road safety, disaster resilience and urban mobility. His research integrates behavioural sciences with mathematical modelling methods. Haghani has authored over 100 scholarly publications and has been published in prestigious outlets such as Science. He frequently contributes analyses and opinion pieces to national and international media.
