Trump Commends Syria’s President for Stabilizing Country
(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump on Friday lauded Syria’s President Ahmed al-Sharaa, praising his efforts to stabilize the conflict-affected nation.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said al-Sharaa is “doing a phenomenal job.”
"He's a rough guy. He's not a choir boy. A choir boy couldn't do it, but Syria is coming together, really coming together well," he added.
Trump also noted that the Syrian leader has treated the country’s Kurdish population “very good,” highlighting what he described as positive steps toward inclusivity.
