Dr Claire O'Callaghan is a literary scholar and cultural historian. She joined Loughborough University in 2018 as one of their prestigious 'Excellence 100' appointments. Claire's expertise and research interests lie in Victorian and neo-Victorian studies, especially the lives and works Brontës. She is an expert on Emily Brontë. Claire is the author of Emily Brontë Reappraised (2018), an updated and expanded version of which is being released in 2026. Claire is Editor-in-Chief of Brontë Studies, the Official Journal of the Brontë Society.
