The UAE is home to a vibrant mix of cultures, where many nationalities live, work, and celebrate together peacefully. To foster further cultural understanding, the authorities have started the 'Emirati Values Iftar' initiative, inviting residents and visitors to share iftar meals with local families across the country.

The Federal Youth Authority's initiative offers an opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to experience Emirati hospitality firsthand. Individuals will be hosted by local families in their homes or in neighbourhood councils (majlis), giving an intimate setting for cultural exchange and dialogue.

Open to both UAE residents and visitors from foreign countries, the move aims to build bridges and promote the core Emirati values of tolerance, generosity, and community. It will be an immersive experience, with hosts and guests sharing not just a meal, but also conversations about the nation's heritage and values.

The Federal Youth Authority has set some guidelines to make sure everyone has a respectful and genuine experience. Guests should follow a modest dress code, and conversations during the Iftar should focus on Emirati culture and values.
