Trump Suggest He Can 'Easily' Resolve Saudi-UAE Rift
(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump declared Monday that Washington could swiftly resolve a deepening rift between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates — while simultaneously acknowledging he has no current intention of doing so.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One as he returned to Washington, DC, from his Mar-a-Lago estate in South Florida, Trump addressed what has become one of the most serious fractures within the Gulf's anti-Houthi alliance in years.
"They do indeed have a rift, and we can get it settled very easily," Trump told reporters, projecting confidence in Washington's capacity to broker a resolution between the two longtime Gulf partners.

The tensions stem from the protracted conflict in Yemen, where a critical breakdown unfolded after Abu Dhabi withdrew its forces following a series of clashes involving the Southern Transitional Council — the country's principal separatist faction. Riyadh accused the UAE of actively backing separatist advances near the Saudi border, an allegation Abu Dhabi flatly denied.
