J & K Govt: Security Nod Needed To Reopen Doodpathri, Yousmarg
Replying to a question by MLA Budgam Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi in the Legislative Assembly, the government said the matter has been taken up with the Deputy Commissioner Budgam for appropriate action.

It said decisions regarding reopening of the two destinations involve security considerations beyond the mandate of the Tourism Department.
In response to another query, the government said recent incidents in the tourism sector have adversely impacted tourist footfall in Jammu and Kashmir, affecting the livelihood of stakeholders associated with the sector.
