Dr Justine Poplin is an academic and researcher specialising in Visual Culture. With extensive cross-cultural experience across Australia and China, her research examines symbolism and the shifting interplay between online and offline visual cultures in the digital age. Her book, Myth, Memes, and Meaning in 21st Century Chinese Visual Culture (Palgrave Macmillan, 2024), investigates contemporary myth-making and digital symbolism within Chinese visual culture.
