Robbyn Abbitt
- Associate Director of the Geospatial Analysis Center, Miami University
Robbyn Abbitt is the GIS Coordinator for Miami University and the Associate Director of the Department of Geography's Geospatial Analysis Center. She has a B.S. in Environmental Science and Public Administration from Indiana University ('96) and a M.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Idaho ('99). Abbitt has worked in the GIS field for over 25 years and has been at Miami University since 2005. Over the years, the Myaamia Center has partnered with Abbitt in her GIS courses by being an active project partner for student groups. Abbitt has also worked with the Myaamia Center as a consultant on mapping projects since 2010, most recently on the NEH Land of Stories project that focused on mapping historic tribal land holdings with a goal of fostering connections to the landscape over time.
