Turkey’s Flag Carrier Sees Strong Passenger Growth in January
(MENAFN) Türkiye’s national carrier, Turkish Airlines, reported Monday that it transported 7.6 million passengers in January, achieving an 84% load factor, according to reports.
The airline said this represents a 12.4% increase in total passengers compared with January 2025.
The load factor rose by 1.6 percentage points over the same period.
International-to-international passengers reached 3.1 million in January, up 10.8% from the previous year. The load factor for international flights was 83.7%, while domestic flights recorded a load factor of 87.5%.
The airline’s available seat kilometers grew 6.4%, reaching 23.7 billion compared with 21.5 billion in January 2025. Cargo and mail volumes also rose 18.8%, totaling 178,303 tons for the month.
At the end of January, the company’s fleet consisted of 522 aircraft.
