U.S. Rubio Kicks Off Diplomatic Mission to Three European Nations

(MENAFN) U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio launches a strategic diplomatic mission to three European allies this week, the State Department announced Monday, with stops spanning Germany, Slovakia and Hungary.

Rubio's itinerary commences with a Feb. 13-15 visit to Germany, where he will participate in the 62nd Munich Security Conference, according to the department's statement.

The top American diplomat will then proceed to Bratislava, Slovakia's capital, on Feb. 15 before concluding his European swing in Hungary the following day.

"In Bratislava, Secretary Rubio will meet with key members of the Slovak government to advance shared regional security interests, strengthen bilateral cooperation on nuclear energy and energy diversification, and support Slovakia's military modernization and NATO commitments," the statement outlined.

Rubio's final destination takes him to Budapest, where discussions with senior Hungarian leadership will focus on reinforcing bilateral ties and regional priorities. The agenda includes Washington's dedication to diplomatic resolutions for ongoing global conflicts and expanding the U.S.-Hungary energy alliance.
