KP Apex Committee Unveils Plan To Tackle Terrorism, Boost Development In Affected Areas

The Provincial Apex Committee of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken important decisions to improve the law and order situation and eliminate terrorism. The meeting agreed that the provincial government, federal government, political parties, and the public must work together to eradicate terrorism.

The committee was informed that a special package will be provided to improve conditions in terrorism-affected areas. Along with security measures, roads, healthcare, education, employment opportunities, and other basic facilities will be ensured to reduce public hardships.

The committee also decided to ensure the rehabilitation and dignified return of temporarily displaced persons. The government will take care of affected families and fulfill their basic needs.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, said that peace is the government's top priority and there will be no compromise on it.

He stated that the civil government, administration, Pakistan Army, and law enforcement agencies are working together against terrorism, and this is a war that must be fought collectively.

The committee emphasized that the Pakistan Army, police, CTD, and other institutions will play their full role in operations against terrorism, and all available resources will be utilized for this purpose.

The government stated that lasting peace is not possible without eliminating the root causes of terrorism, and those causes will also be addressed.

The meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee, chaired by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, was attended by provincial ministers, the Corps Commander Peshawar, the Chief Secretary, the Inspector General of Police, and other senior officials.

Fateha was offered at the beginning of the meeting for those martyred in terrorist incidents, and tribute was paid to them.
