Turkey, US Officials Meet in Washington to Discuss Defense Cooperation
(MENAFN) The Turkish deputy foreign minister met with the US under secretary of state in Washington on Wednesday to discuss matters of defense collaboration.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated, "Deputy Minister Ambassador Levent Gumrukcu met with Thomas G. DiNanno, Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security in Washington, D.C." It added that "International security and defense cooperation matters were discussed during the meeting."
Gumrukcu also participated in a roundtable hosted by the Atlantic Council in Washington, where he "answered questions from the participants about Turkish-American relations, NATO and regional issues," according to the ministry.
