Shipper Air Service Celebrates 35Th Anniversary In A Befitting Manner
Marking the milestone occasion, in a rare gesture, the Agency honored 10 individuals from the local travel trade fraternity, who have served the travel trade for 25 years or more. The award recipients are: Subash Chandra Sen Chowdhury, Hamidur Rashid Chowdhury, Md. Jamal Uddin, Md. Abu Zafar, Abdullah Zahed, Selim Al Raji, Rupashree Paity, Farhad Ahmed Chowdhury, Md. Maruf Ahmed, and Pankaj Kumar Barua.

In addition, Abdul Mukit Chowdhury was presented with a special recognition for his long-standing contribution to the travel business in Sylhet.

Zahidul Hasan, Senior Manager of Oman Air; Shafi Ul Alam, Senior Sales Manager of Thai Airways; Mesbah Ul Islam, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Astra; Shafiqul Islam, Head of Sales, and Kamrul Islam, General Manager, Public Relations of US-Bangla Airlines; Mobin Rashid, Country Manager of Air Arabia; Saleh Ahmed, Deputy Manager of Cathay Pacific Airways; Md. Al Ismail Mollah, Deputy Manager of Malaysia Airlines; Niladri Maharatna, Deputy Manager (Marketing and Media Communication) of Novoair; Syed Mohammad Fahim Hasan, Executive Director of Air Commerce; MGH-Galieo, former Sylhet District Bar President E. U. Shahidul Islam Shaheen; former Sylhet Press Club President Ikramul Kabir; former ATAB President Abdul Jabbar Jalil; and former HAB President Mansur Ali Khan, among others.
Speakers on the occasion stated that Shipper Air Services has earned a place of trust and confidence among the people of the greater Sylhet region through it's honesty, dedication and sincere services under the leadership of Khandker Shipper Ahmed. They emphasized that the organization has grown beyond being just a travel agency and has become one of the most trusted agencies, setting an example of clean and ethical practices in the travel business.
Speaking on the occasion, Khandaker Shipper Ahmed, Founder and CEO of Shipper Air Service, said he entered the travel business with the goal of serving humanity and vowed to uphold this mission throughout his life. He sought prayers and continued support from all.
In his presidential address, Kazi Wahidul Alam described Shipper Air Service as a“bright star in the airline trade,” highlighting its unique journey and inclusive leadership. He noted that Khandaker Shipper Ahmed and his team have always worked in cohesion with other competitors and has also led the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce while remaining active in the travel trade.
Representatives from 12 domestic and international airlines, along with officials from government and private organizations, members of professional bodies, travel trade from the Sylhet region, and elite of the city attended the event. An exciting raffle draw was held amidst great funfare.
