Erdogan Gifts Egyptian Leader Turkey’s Electric Vehicle Togg

(MENAFN) President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday offered a symbolic gift to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi by presenting him with a Togg, Türkiye’s domestically produced electric vehicle, according to official statements.

The handover took place after a signing ceremony and joint press briefing held during Erdogan’s official trip to Cairo. The vehicle given to Sisi featured the distinctive “Anatolia” color design, reflecting Türkiye’s national branding.

Following the presentation, the two presidents were joined by Türkiye’s minister of industry and technology as they posed for photographs while seated inside the car in the gardens of Cairo’s Al-Ittihadiya Palace, as stated by reports.

Later in the day, Erdogan traveled to his hotel in the same Togg, which was driven by Sisi, to preside over the closing session of the Türkiye–Egypt Business Forum, according to officials.
