The UAE's Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security will soon open a new Electronic Visa Issuance Center in Beirut, Lebanon.

The centre is designed to make the visa process easier and faste. Applicants will be able to complete all procedures in their home country without needing to travel or go through multiple steps, whether they are visiting the UAE for tourism, medical treatment, education, or work, as explained by Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director-General of the Authority.

It will also handle verification of official documents such as passports, medical certificates, and certificates of good conduct, alongside biometric procedures like fingerprinting, iris scans, facial recognition, and personal interviews for work visa applicants.

The centre highlights the strong and friendly ties between the UAE and Lebanon, built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to close cooperation for the benefit of both countries and their people.

The new facility also reflects the UAE's efforts to share its experience in modernising government services, moving away from traditional paperwork, cutting bureaucracy, and offering fully integrated, smart solutions that meet the needs of people both inside and outside the country.

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili also said that the Beirut centre is an important step in the plan to restructure and upgrade the UAE's 18 overseas electronic visa centres.

The systems at the centre have been fully updated and connected to the UAE's electronic visa platform, ensuring fast processing, accurate data, and standardised procedures while improving efficiency and service reliability.
