Turkish President Erdogan Begins Two-Day Visit to Saudi Arabia, Egypt


(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan departed on Tuesday for a two-day trip to Saudi Arabia and Egypt, accompanied by First Lady Emine Erdogan and several top ministers, including the foreign, finance, and defense ministers, according to reports.

In Riyadh, Erdogan is scheduled to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, as well as regional and global issues, Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said.

The president will then travel to Cairo on Wednesday at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to co-chair the second session of the Türkiye-Egypt High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. During the visit, Erdogan and Sisi are expected to address bilateral matters and share perspectives on regional and international developments, with particular attention to the situation in Palestine, Duran added.

Erdogan is also set to participate in a Türkiye-Egypt Business Forum while in Cairo, highlighting economic collaboration between the two nations, as stated by reports.
