Germany Voices Alarm at Recent Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza

(MENAFN) Germany on Monday voiced concern over recent Israeli airstrikes in Gaza that killed at least 37 Palestinians over the weekend, according to reports.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Martin Giese said, “We note these incidents with concern time and again. They show that the situation in Gaza remains fragile, not least because of Saturday’s attack.” He emphasized that it is essential for all parties to adhere to commitments outlined in the 20-point plan.

The Civil Defense in Gaza reported that Israeli strikes since dawn on Saturday killed 32 Palestinians, including women and children. Medical sources also confirmed that five more people—three children and two women—were killed in a separate airstrike targeting a residential apartment in the Rimal neighborhood of western Gaza City, with several others injured.

Since the ceasefire took effect in early October, Israeli operations in Gaza have killed 524 Palestinians, injured 1,360, and resulted in 1,450 reported violations, according to the Gaza government media office.
