Israeli Airstrikes Kill Thirty-seven Palestinians Across Gaza
(MENAFN) At least 37 Palestinians lost their lives and many others were wounded over the past 24 hours as Israeli air raids hit multiple locations across the Gaza Strip, according to reports released on Saturday.
Emergency authorities in Gaza said that since early Saturday morning alone, Israeli attacks have resulted in the deaths of 32 people, including women and children, highlighting the continued toll on civilians.
In one incident, five Palestinians — three children and two women — were killed and others injured when an Israeli strike hit a residential apartment in the Rimal neighborhood of western Gaza City, according to medical officials.
Another attack in southern Gaza claimed the lives of seven members of the same family. A man, his three sons, and three young grandchildren were killed when an airstrike struck a tent housing displaced people in the Asdaa area northwest of Khan Younis, as stated by medical responders.
Additional injuries were reported after an Israeli strike hit a residential apartment in the al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, according to eyewitness accounts.
Israeli warplanes also launched an attack on al-Jalaa Street northwest of Gaza City, along with two separate strikes east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. No casualties were reported from those strikes.
In a separate incident, an Israeli fighter jet bombed the administration building of the “Ghaith” camp, which shelters hundreds of displaced people, near Al-Ribat College on Street 2 in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, according to field reports.
The strike on the camp reportedly followed an evacuation warning issued by the Israeli military and was preceded by an earlier drone attack on the same location.
