Musk Says Polish FM “Drooling Imbecile” in Starlink Fight
(MENAFN) Tech billionaire Elon Musk called Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski a “drooling imbecile” during a heated exchange on social media platform X.
The dispute began after Sikorski accused Musk of “making money on war crimes” and questioned why he had not prevented “Russians from using Starlink.” Sikorski had shared a report from a US think tank claiming that Russian forces are increasingly using Musk’s Starlink satellites to guide drone attacks in Ukraine. The report noted that drones, including BM-35, Shahed, and Molniya models, are being fitted with Starlink systems to extend range and improve accuracy.
“Hey, big man, why don’t you stop the Russians from using Starlinks?” Sikorski wrote on Tuesday.
Musk responded the following day: “This drooling imbecile doesn’t even realize that Starlink is the backbone of Ukraine’s military communications.”
This confrontation is not the first between Musk and Sikorski. Last December, Musk called for the dissolution of the European Union, tweeting that “EU bureaucracy is slowly smothering Europe to death” and advocating for sovereignty to be returned to individual countries so governments could better represent citizens.
Musk’s criticism of the bloc intensified after the EU fined X €120 million ($163 million) for allegedly failing to meet transparency requirements under its 2022 Digital Services Act. Musk, who is the platform’s majority owner, compared the EU to “the Fourth Reich.”
Sikorski responded to Musk’s call to dissolve the EU by telling him to “go to Mars.”
