As an award-winning senior lecturer in Cancer Biology / Clinical Biochemistry at Kingston University, I have a wide range of knowledge on such topics as Cancer Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Physiology and Molecular and Cellular Biology. I teach on the Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Biological Science and Pharmacology courses, and I am course leader for BSc Biochemistry. I graduated with a BSc in Molecular Biology from Queen Mary, University of London, a PhD from UCL, and had worked for many years in the world-renowned Francis Crick Institute, London. In my teaching I have employed a range of innovative teaching to enhance student engagement with dramatic results.

I am also an active researcher who is experienced for many years in the topic of Cancer Biology and have published a large number of internationally renowned articles which has changed the face of cancer signalling. I also have a strong interest in HE pedagogic research with a number of articles published on the topic.

My current research includes looking at ways to combat cancer resistance, using drug repurposing and novel and natural therapies to ensure that cancer can be treated at a molecular level. I supervise several PhD and masters by research students in these topics.
