Putin, US Witkoff Set for Talks in Moscow

(MENAFN) Russian President Vladimir Putin will receive US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff in Moscow Thursday for high-level discussions, the Kremlin confirmed Wednesday.

"We expect such a meeting tomorrow. It is on the president's schedule," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a state news agency.

Witkoff independently confirmed the appointment to media, revealing that Jared Kushner—son-in-law to US President Donald Trump—will accompany him. "We'll be seeing the Russians, Jared (Kushner) and I, sometime on Thursday evening," Witkoff stated.

Intensive Diplomatic Push to End Ukraine Conflict
Both Witkoff and Kushner have engaged in repeated negotiations with Putin and Ukrainian representatives in efforts to broker an end to the Russia-Ukraine war.

The Thursday encounter marks the latest in a series of diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving a breakthrough in the protracted conflict that has reshaped European security dynamics.
