I am an Associate Fellow of English and Comparative Literary Studies (October 2024,-) and Honorary Research Fellow (October 2024,-) of the Institute of Advanced Study (IAS) at the University of Warwick. I will be an IASH (The Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities) Heritage Collections Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh between January 2026 and July 2026 to work on my upcoming research project Archiving Futures: Utopia, Dystopia, Environmental Crisis, Identity, and Inequality in Edinburgh's Special Collections. I was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow (EUTOPIA-SIF COFUND) of the Institute of Advanced Study and the Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies at the University of Warwick. As part of my fellowship, I conducted interdisciplinary research at Harvard University (February-May 2024, Host: Prof James Engell, Dept. of English) and Pompeu Fabra University-Barcelona (September-November 2023, Host: Dr Maria Antonia Oliver Rotger, Dept. of Humanities). Prior to starting at Warwick, I spent an academic year (Sept 2021-Sept 2022) at the University of Oxford's Faculty of English Language and Literature as a visiting postdoctoral researcher. I completed a BA and PhD (Joint, 2019) in English Language and Literature at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Türkiye. As part of my PhD, I was a visiting scholar at Penn State University's Department of English & Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies under the supervision of Prof Jennifer Wagner-Lawlor (August 2015 – August 2016). Previously, I taught at Hacettepe University (Research Assistant), Türkiye and Cappadocia University (Assist Prof Dr), Türkiye. I was granted the official title "Associate Professor of English Language and Literature" by the Inter-University Board of the Republic of Türkiye, the Council of Higher Education on April 5, 2022. I serve as the utopian/dystopian studies, speculative fiction, and science fiction section editor for The Literary Encyclopedia. I am an Advance HE fellow (FHEA).
