IDF continues its genocide on Gaza despite truce
(MENAFN) New attacks by the Israeli army were reported in Gaza on Wednesday, with artillery and helicopter fire targeting western Rafah and northern neighborhoods, according to local sources. Northern areas of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza were also reportedly hit in the early morning. No Palestinian casualties have been confirmed so far.
Separately, Israeli authorities reported that two Palestinians were killed in Rafah during what they described as an exchange of fire, while two Israeli soldiers were lightly wounded in the same incident.
Since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was announced on October 10, 2025, Israeli forces have reportedly murdered more than 400 Palestinians in repeated violations of the truce. These actions have also breached a UN Security Council resolution passed in November 2025, which called for a permanent ceasefire, unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid, and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
The ongoing genocide has resulted in over 71,000 Palestinian deaths, primarily women and children, and more than 171,000 injuries, leaving Gaza extensively damaged.
