Turkish Plan-S Deploys Four Satellites into Orbit

(MENAFN) Plan-S, a Turkish space technology leader, has expanded its orbital constellation by deploying four Connecta Internet of Things (IoT) satellites aboard SpaceX's Twilight mission, bringing the company's active satellite count to 16.

The Türkiye-headquartered firm managed every phase of the mission internally—from initial design and rigorous testing through manufacturing and final integration—according to a Monday company announcement.

The quartet of newly deployed satellites will bolster capacity for Plan-S's Connecta-branded IoT services while strengthening the company's position in worldwide markets.

Domestic Innovation Drives National Space Vision
Plan-S operates in lockstep with Türkiye's National Space Program, engineering satellite subsystems and ground infrastructure using locally sourced technology and expertise.

The enterprise delivers worldwide IoT connectivity via its Connecta platform, complemented by space-derived data analytics through its Observa service line. All technological components supporting these offerings are manufactured within Türkiye, the firm confirmed.

Aggressive International Expansion Underway
Plan-S has intensified regulatory approval pursuits across multiple continents as part of its global market penetration strategy. The company has secured operational licenses in Türkiye, Australia, Sweden, and Denmark, with active discussions underway for authorization in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, and Pakistan.

A strategic partnership with Turk Telekom has been finalized, enabling satellite-powered IoT solutions to merge with the telecommunications giant's existing Türkiye network infrastructure.

Plan-S CEO Ozdemir Gumusay emphasized that domestically engineered technologies provide the agility needed to address evolving market demands while fueling the company's global expansion objectives.
