Pakistan calls on US to arrest Israeli PM Netanyahu
(MENAFN) Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has suggested that the United States should take action against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, arguing that detaining him and putting him on trial would be justified in light of recent events.
Asif condemned the US operation in Venezuela that led to the capture of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, calling that action a “kidnapping” while saying a similar approach should be taken against Israel’s leader. He labeled Netanyahu “the worst criminal of humanity,” pointing to the situation in Gaza as the basis for his criticism.
In a televised interview, Asif said the United States should “kidnap” Netanyahu and prosecute him in a court, arguing that such an act would serve justice. He also mentioned that Turkey could carry out a similar operation.
Asif warned that the US led approach in Venezuela has set a precedent and described it as opening “a Pandora’s box,” while claiming global stability was at risk because of the controversial move. He argued that if action is taken against anyone, Netanyahu would be a candidate deserving of it given what he sees as the severity of Israel’s conduct.
His remarks reflect deep frustration with events in Gaza and include sweeping criticism of Israel’s policies, sparking controversy and raising tensions in discussions about accountability and international justice.
