Meteorological Department Warns Of Heavy Thunderstorms

Amman, Jan. 9 (Petra)-- The Jordan Meteorological Department has warned of the risk of thunderstorms during the current hour, based on weather radar images indicating the presence of rain-bearing thunderclouds over Balqa Governorate.
According to the department, the storms are sometimes heavy and accompanied by hail, and are moving toward the capital, Amman.
Radar images also show thunderstorm cells over parts of Madaba and Jerash governorates, prompting authorities to urge the public to exercise caution and take necessary safety measures.
