NIFT Extends Application Deadline For 202627 Admissions, Cuts Fees Across Categories

(MENAFN- KNN India) New Delhi, Jan 7 (KNN) The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has extended the deadline for submission of online application forms for its 2026–27 academic session, covering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in fashion design, management, and technology.

The move aims to enable a larger number of aspirants to benefit from the reduced application fees announced for this admission cycle.

As per the revised schedule, candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until 13 January 2026. Applications will also be accepted from 14 to 16 January 2026 with a late fee.

The entrance examination, comprising both computer-based tests and pen-and-paper formats, will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 8 February 2026 across 102 cities nationwide.

For the 2026–27 batch, NIFT has significantly reduced application fees across categories. The fee for candidates from the Open, Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), and Economically Weaker Sections has been lowered from Rs 3,000 to Rs 2,000.

For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Persons with Disabilities categories, the fee has been reduced from Rs 1,500 to Rs 500.

NIFT has advised interested candidates to visit the official NTA website for NIFT entrance examinations for detailed information regarding eligibility, application procedures, and examination guidelines.
