Kiev Reports Two Fatalities in Massive Russian Strike

(MENAFN) Ukrainian officials reported at least two fatalities following a large-scale Russian aerial assault on the capital and neighboring areas in the early hours of Monday.

A medical facility operated privately in the Obolonskyi section of Kiev sustained a direct hit that claimed one life and left four individuals wounded, two of whom remain in critical condition, Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported via the messaging platform Telegram.

A second fatality occurred in Fastiv district, located to the capital's southwest, where the assault damaged a dozen residential structures, Ukraine's National Police confirmed.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Moscow deployed nine Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles alongside 165 unmanned aerial vehicles in the operation, with Ukrainian defense systems successfully neutralizing 137 of the drones.
