Dr Carolina Quintero Rodriguez is a Senior Lecturer and Program Manager of the Bachelor of Fashion (Enterprise) program at RMIT University, with qualifications and practice experience in the industry of over 20 years in the field of product design and development.
Carolina's research and practice are concerned with the key design considerations relevant to the engineering of functional clothing, designed to fulfil the specific functional and comfort requirements of wearers through the understanding of the properties of the materials for the specific end-use.
Carolina's interests also explore the potential of diverse education and industry collaborations for learning and teaching and research, as well as establishing and strengthening connections between different countries and Australia in developing projects for academic and industrial purposes.
Dr Carolina Quintero Rodriguez has received multiple teaching and engagement awards recognizing her commitment to teaching. Additionally, Carolina's research has been featured in multiple peer-reviewed academic journals and conferences, as well as in the media, demonstrating her commitment to the advancement of the field of fashion and textiles and her passion for Industry Partnered Learning (IPL) for Learning and Teaching.
