Tyson Fury Declares Boxing Comeback
(MENAFN) Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury revealed on Sunday that he intends to step back into the ring this year.
"2026 is that year. Return of the Mac. Been away for a while but I'm back now. 37 years old and still punching. Nothing better to do than punch men in the face & get paid for it," Fury shared on the American social media platform Instagram.
Fury’s most recent bout took place in December 2024, where he suffered a second defeat against Ukrainian heavyweight titleholder Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch.
The British fighter announced his retirement the following month.
Fury, who has twice held the heavyweight crown, originally captured the championship in 2015 after overcoming Ukraine’s Wladimir Klitschko.
