I am currently a Professor of Mathematics at UCLA, moving to UBC (and currently a visiting professor at UBC already) as well as the Co-Director, Programs at the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) hosted at UBC. At UCLA I am also the Executive Director for the Institute for Digital Research and Education (IDRE). I plan to write an article from the perspective of my UBC and PIMS roles.
