Air Defense Forces Neutralize 587 Uavs And 34 Cruise Missiles Used By Russia To Attack Ukraine

“On the night of December 23 (from 18:00 on December 22), the enemy carried out a combined strike on Ukraine's critical infrastructure facilities using strike UAVs and air- and ground-launched missiles,” the statement said.
Overall, radio-technical troops of the Air Force detected and tracked 673 aerial attack assets - 38 missiles and 635 UAVs of various types. Among them were:

635 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and Gerbera (other types of unmanned aerial vehicles) launched from Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), Chauda, Crimea (about 400 of them were Shaheds);
three Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles (launch areas: Ryazan region, Russian Federation);
35 Kh-101 and Iskander-K cruise missiles (launch areas: Vologda region and Kursk region, Russian Federation).
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 11:30, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 621 aerial targets:

587 enemy Shahed- and Gerbera-type UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles of other types);
34 Kh-101 and Iskander-K cruise missiles.
Missile hits and 39 strike UAV impacts were recorded at 21 locations; debris from downed targets fell at eight locations. Additionally, three aeroballistic missiles failed to reach their intended targets (impact locations are being verified).
