UAE: US Embassy, Consulate To Be Closed For 3 Days During Christmas Festivities
The US' embassy and consulate general in the UAE announced their closures ahead of Christmas celebrations across the country.
The US Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the US Consulate General in Dubai are set to be closed on Thursday, December 25, on the festive occasion of Christmas.

Normal operations are set to resume on Monday, December 29.
Pakistan's embassy in the UAE also announced its closure for December 25 due to Christmas and Quaid-i-Azam Day.
The latter is a public holiday in Pakistan, observed every year on December 25 - the day on which Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder and first Governor-General of Pakistan was born.
Although Christmas is not officially a public holiday in the Emirates, some companies across the country are granting internal leave on Christmas Day and in some cases Boxing Day, extending the break to all employees. The practice, set through internal company policies rather than official public holidays, reflects changing workplace norms and efforts to align with global calendars while giving staff additional time to rest.
